Airport Fast Ride -- ~20mph average for the Airport Ride, with a few extra miles thrown in. Please look for separate group, departing before regular airport ride.... more

Drops: Probable

Departure Time — 7:50 a.m.
Distance — 62 approximate
Breaks — 2 (both at the Shell station)

The "Summer Fast Ride" rider can expect a friendly and social 60-plus-mile recreational ride -- much like the "Airport Ride" -- but a little longer and faster. One should feel comfortable riding close to others in a group, as we might work in a rotation at tempo. Average speed from Preston/Forest to the Shell station will be between 18-21 mph. Average speed from the Shell station around the airport to the control tower and around will be above 21 mph. Please feel free to join this ride at the start or at the Shell station... Rest assured, the "regular Airport Ride" is a few minutes back to sweep anyone who gets dropped. Please introduce yourself if you are new to this ride.

TEC usually hosts various no-drop rides each weekend. Details are posted on our Facebook page, please join for details. Rides typically leave near the downtown area, and usually 7:30-8am ... morerollout depending on route/temperature.

this is a "private" group with almost 500 members; it may take a couple days for the admins to add you to the group, especially if they haven't met you on the tue/wed weekday rides. (the group is "private" as we used to get a lot of spam/fake/robot accounts)

The MJ 100k is a little longer and faster than the Middle of the Road Ride (MOTR). For those who remember the Sweetish Hill Bakery rides, this has the vibe of those. 2x2 lines, social ... moreat times, but down to business others. That means you can prove it at the City Limit road signs—like the olden days.

It's a friendly and supportive group, but If you get dropped, be self sufficient as it not a no-drop ride.

What to bring? Road bike in good working condition, clipless pedals, helmet, water and nutrition, flat changing tools, and no headphones. Stop at 35 mile mark to top off bottles and grab a quick snack at mini-mart.

9am jan - feb. 8am otherwise.

> the Einsteins Bagels at the old start has closed 😢 NEWish START LOCATION! 12601 Tech Ridge Blvd, Austin, TX 78753 (i.e. La Tapatia/Little Woodrow’s)... more
There’s taco shop there in the same strip center as Little Woodrow’s on the southeast corner of Tech Ridge and Parmer. The taco shop is open in the mornings for those wanting to get some food/coffee/rest room before the ride. There is plenty of parking, especially back behind the building.

The Bagel Ride has been around since 1992 and is open to all riders that love riding their bicycles. The ride was formally known as Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure with Bill Ream's assistance. Bill passed away March 2014 but the ride continues in his honor.

There are two groups, both of which roll out together, and then split at the store stop. Short ride is usually 50-60 miles, long ride 70-85 miles. This can be a competitive ride, but tends to stay at a steady tempo, without lots of surges. One of the best group rides in town! Led by Matt, the Bagelmeister.

Red Horn Coffee & Brewing on the SE corner of Parmer & 1431 Route varies but is usually around 3 hours or 50-70 miles. Late fall into winter we slow it down a little and try ... moreto keep an endurance pace and possibly do some exploring. Be ready for anything. Bring money for store/taco stops.

Red Horn opens at 7:00 AM so head in and get a pre-ride espresso or coffee. Check our Facebook Page where we will try to post the Saturday route when possible. Hang out post ride with a delicious beer.

Please DO NOT park in front of Red Horn/Peddler, let's leave those spots for patrons. There is plenty of parking on both sides of the strip center.

i Cycle Saturday Morning Sprint at 8am, We ride the 23 mile route again on Saturday mornings, but at a 20+ mph pace with sprints up to 30 mph. Not a no-drop ride, this is a fast paced, ... moreracer's training ride. Best for experienced cyclists. Helmets required on all iCycle rides.

This is a group ride on the streets of Houston in traffic. The route is chosen for scenic beauty and to avoid traffic, major thoroughfares and bad streets, but you are still riding on city streets with cars. Exercise caution and obey traffic laws. Watch for and call out road hazards. Standard group riding etiquette applies to all iCycle rides: Strive to keep the group together, call out or point out hazards, no earbuds or loud sound systems, stay off aerobars, ride smoothly and predictably, avoid abrupt maneuvers.
