A "Little" Longer Weekend Ride----. Bring some Carrots for the Donkeys!!
Description

This is a very quiet scenic ride thru east Williamson County, starting from Lake Pflugerville (North parking lot).

A quiet, (mostly country roads) ride thru northeast Travis, southeast Williamson, & northwest Bastrop Counties. We'll pedal by Taylor's Murphy Park & Lake, thru "bustling" Thrall, and by the scenic/historic Lawrence Chapel, Cemetary, & log cabin.  We'll plan for a quick visit with "The Friendly Donkeys" on the way home thru Coupland --- bring some "snacks" for the donkeys!!  We'll be on many quiet country roads for this mostly flat (only 1892 ft. of climbing--per RidewithGPS). We'll have TWO STORE STOPS:  at 28 miles (the Food Market in Thrall) and at 53 miles (Citgo Station in Coupland).

NOTE I: Helmuts are required on all Bike Austin rides.

NOTE II: I don't have maps, but Q-sheets will be available and the RidewithGPS version is attached for electronic downloading.

NOTE III: Please arrive with you and your bike ready to ride 72 miles for a 7:45 AM ride start meeting for a PROMPT roll-out at 8:00 AM.

If you are not familiar with our ride catagories; please see the following 2 sights to insure you are matched for this ride:
