Description
Join us for a ride down the east side of town to McKinney Falls and a return on the west side. This variation uses the Montopolis Bridge and Dove Springs Road. It is slightly less hilly. Otherwise it is much like the usual version of our McKinney Falls ride. Most of the route is on bike lanes and/or quiet streets, but there is some urban riding. There are several stretches of rolling hills and/or short moderately steep hills. There are no hills very hard in themselves, but the cumulative effect can be grueling for inexperienced riders or riders who haven't ridden for a while. The average speed will be 13-14 mph, but we will ride faster on straightaways and some riders may break away on the front. This is a no drop ride and we will regroup at turns and hilltops as necessary.

Riders should bring helmets, spare tube, water, and emergency identification. Please leave headphones, loudspeakers, and earbuds at home.

Parking is available on Duval Street north of 51st and on the side streets off Duval. Please don't park in the alley behind the Peddler and Flight Path.

We will leave promptly at 7:30 am. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early for sign in and ride instructions.

Coffee and conversation after the ride at the Flight Path or at Home Slice Pizza.
