Rides suitable for cyclists who are new to the sport (or who have not been on a bike for some years), family-friendly rides or any riders that feel a need for some mentoring. Note: please note that minors under the age of 16 cannot participate in rides unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. Families with children should, in any event, confirm with the ride leader ahead of time that the ride will be suitable for their needs.

Targeted towards riders who have a few years in the saddle, who have developed some riding confidence and fitness and feel ready to move to the next level. Could attract more experienced riders who are looking for a relaxed or less aggressive ride.

Advanced
Limited to experienced riders with superior bike handling skills and who are comfortable with a fast pace (probably including single and/or double pace-line riding) and/or hilly terrain, and the possibility of heavily trafficked roads. Advanced rides are less likely to be "no-drop" unless identified as such.

Description
Scenic ride in northeast Williamson County through the San Gabriel river valley.  The ride will start in San Gabriel Park in Georgetown and head through Grainger, Bartlett and Schwartner. We'll ride at a moderate pace and re-group at all major turns; the Ride with GPS route map is attached for electronic downloading.  I'll have cue sheets as well.  There is a store stop at 20 miles in Grainger and options for stops in Bartlett and Schwartner as well.

The ride willl start and end in San Gabriel Park in Georgetown, at the parking area at at the end of Chamber Way drive.  If you are heading north on I-35, take exit 262 for Williams Drive. Turn right onto Williams Drive, then left at the light onto North Austin Ave.  Chamber Way will be a short distance down on your right.  The parking area is is at the end of the drive.  There are bathroom facilities at this location.   

Helmets are mandatory.  Please arrive early enough to prepare yourself + bike, have the 5-minute safety briefing and then be ready for an on-time departure.
