Description
The BP MS 150 is a two-day fundraising bike ride organized by the National MS Society, South Central Chapter. The ride is the largest event of its kind in North America, with 13,000 cyclists, 3,500 volunteers, and countless spectators along the route and at the finish line in Austin. The fundraising goal for the 2017 BP MS 150 is $16 million dollars to bring hope to many who are affected by multiple sclerosis.

Your participation will drive MS research forward faster and deliver services to those who face the challenges of MS every day so they can live their best lives.

This is fully supported ride with food, medical support, bike mechanics and SAG support. Riders pay a registration fee and raise a miniumum of $400.

There are three official start locations for the BP MS 150 in the Houston area. The total mileage on each route varies between 160 and 180 miles to Austin, with breakpoints located every 8 to 15 miles. The ride begins Saturday morning at three convenient starting points:
Tully Stadium (Houston): 100 miles to La Grange
Rhodes Stadium (Katy): 83 miles to La Grange
Waller Stadium (Waller): 76 miles to La Grange

All riders are responsible for arranging their own accommodations during the BP MS 150 Bike Ride. Lodging options are available in Houston near the Start Lines; lodging options in La Grange include nearby hotels as well as camping at the overnight location; and, in Austin, hotel options are available near the Finish Line.

On Day 2 Cyclists can choose from two exciting routes to Austin.
Bechtel Challenge Route (winds through the rolling terrain of Bastrop and Buescher State Parks): 77 miles to Austin
Lunch Express Route (bypasses the State Parks): 66 miles to Austin
