Description
Welcome to Crucial Matter around here we like to R.E.P. Oh, you don't know what that means? It is Ride. Eat. Party!

We started off as a small group of friends that just likes to ride, have some good food and then some drinks afterwards. We get together for rides and just about anything bike related, eating related or drinking related. Oh, and of course elotes and TACOS.

The rides we have:

Tour de Tacos- 1st Friday of the Month
(Meeting spot is Market Square at 6:45pm)

Raspas & Corn - 3rd Friday of the Month
(During the winter cold months, we will substitute the raspas for warm drink)

Monday Bar Ride - 2nd Monday & 4th Monday of every month.
(Meeting spot is Cecil's at 6:45pm)
These may vary, just keep an eye out for the event.

Thisrty Rabbits Ride 15mph to 18mph- Last Wednesday of the month.
(this ride will also vary in times it happens a month. Could be only one, could be two or more)

The way our rides work:

Before the ride, we have a riders meeting. Please pay attention.

Keep the pace of the leader, don't jump ahead unless you know where you are going. This helps limit confusion on who to follow and keeps the pace.

We meet at a certain time, and we leave at a certain time. Pay attention to the times posted and be on time.

We are patient and wait for people. We try our hardest to not drop someone on our rides by adjusting speed and having a sweeper. If you decide to ride with us, be patient, not everyone is an expert rider like you that can maintain 20mph as a cruising speed. The stops take time specially if the group is big. Be patient.

Safety is a priority. We stay as much as we can to the right to let cars go through. We don't cork intersections, instead we have people there guiding you on where to turn. The route will be posted right after the riders meeting as we take off. Just in case people fall back.

We ask you to check your bike and tires before a ride. Please have spare tubes or patches. We don't like to drop people, but if there is something wrong with your bike beyond anything we can do to help, we don't have much of a choice to keep the group going.

Yell out Hazards on the road, if you are passing people or if there is a car behind.

When you hear someone yelling to "STAY RIGHT" it means if you are on the left lane, to get to the right lane.

Car behind- CAR BACK
Car Up ahead - CAR UP
Passing someone on right/left - On your right/left
Slowing down - SLOWING
Stopping - STOPPING

It might sound like a lot of rules, but it is not. These are basic things you should know when joining a group ride. There are different sets of skills out there and we just like to have everyone riding with us on the same page.

If you know of any rides around town, post them up. If you know of anything bike friendly in the city, post it up.

JUST PLEASE DON'T SPAM THE PAGE.

I hope to see you all out on our rides soon.

Stay safe out there and R.E.P!
