It's hard to believe it's August already and we are talking about the OUTspokin' end-of-season ride!

One of our long-time members, Peret, has invited us to her house to celebrate another great riding season. We will begin the day with a ride starting at her house (address above) and will travel the South Platte trail & explore the area. This will be a leisurely ride. After the ride, we will have a BBQ at Peret's house. OUTspokin' will provide the meat for grilling and water / sodas. Please bring a side to share. Also, please bring a lawn chair!!

To RSVP, please email us at outspokindenver@gmail.com or use the RSVP option on the Meetup(http://www.meetup.com/Denver-LGBT-Meetup-OUTSpokin-Bicycle-Group/). We hope to see everyone there!

Ride Starts Promptly at 9 AM. Please arrive early and be ready to Ride! We will plan to have lunch around 12 PM.

OUTspokin’s bike riding program, is organized and led by volunteers. We hope you have an enjoyable and safe cycling experience, and find rides that suit your riding style and fitness level.
If you have questions about a ride, contact us at outspokindenver@gmail.com. You are responsible for your own decisions on the ride. To ensure your safety and that of others, we do have the following expectations of ride participants:

Cyclists are required to wear a correctly adjusted helmet.
Participants must sign a waiver including an emergency and/or home phone number.
Riders must cycle in a legal, safe, and courteous manner. Never ride with earphones or ear bud(s).
Pull off and stop when using a cell phone.
Participants should carry a pump, spare tube, patch kit, and money and know how to fix their own flats.
Plan to arrive at least fifteen minutes before the start time with your bicycle ready to ride. This allows time to sign the waiver, listen to route instructions, meet the leader, and look at the map if available.
We also recommend that you print out the map for the ride you choose to do, if available from our website.
For the group's enjoyment as well as your own, choose a ride at the pace and distance that matches your current ability.
All participants are expected to be personally responsible for their own conduct and decisions while on an OUTspokin’ ride.
And above all else, HAVE FUN!

Organization
Founded in 1998, OUTspokin’ is a GLBT cycling organization. Bicyclists of all abilities train together and participate in cycling events throughout Colorado and the United States. ... moreOUTspokin’ has maintained a strong, positive presence at the Courage Classic bicycle tour, our signature event, every year since its founding.
Most of our riders are gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender, but our team also includes supportive friends and family of Colorado's GLBT community. Our riders range in age from early twenties to mid-sixties and older. Abilities range from beginners who have never ridden in a cycling event to seasoned cyclists who combine participation in OUTspokin’ with training for Colorado's most difficult cycling events.

OUTspokin’ focuses on touring rather than racing. Our members have registered as a group and participated in events including the Elephant Rock Century, Wyoming's Tour de Prairie, the MS150, the Courage Classic, Ride the Rockies, Triple Bypass, and the Emily Griffith Road Ramble. We have also helped our riders train for various AIDS Vaccine Rides!
We welcome riders at all stages in their cycling careers. There are a number of membership levels described on the membership page. Once you become a member, all you have to do is ride and enjoy the many social activities that OUTspokin’ offers. We ask only that you join us for at least one charity ride and that you wear your OUTspokin' Jersey with pride.
