Come out and ride with us as we celebrate/honor Jonathan Buten for his 66th birthday!!
Note the early starting time as we are in the "beat-the-heat" summer mode.
This is a new/old route from the Good Luck Grill as we'll ride on some quiet, shaded roads thru northeast Travis, southeast Williamson, & northwest Bastrop Counties. We'll pedal by the historic Lawrence Chapel & Cemetery as well as the Dream Time Animal Sanctuary. We have a store stop in Thrall at 30 miles. Total climbing is 1688 ft. per RidewithGPS.
Note I: I do not have maps, but Q-sheets will be provided and the RidewithGPS route map is attached for electronic downloading.
Note II: Helmets are required on all Bike Austin rides.
If you are not familiar with our ride catagories; please see the following 2 sights to insure you are matched for this ride:

Please come, with you and your equipment ready to ride 67 miles, in time for a 6:50 AM riders meeting so we can roll promptly at 7:00 AM.
We'll start and end at the "Good Luck Grill". It is located at 14605 North FM 973; that is 1.8 miles north of US 290. Go east out of Manor on US 290. Turn left (north) on FM 973 for approx. 1.8 miles, the Good Luck Grill is on the right (east). Please use the parking lot area closest to the road---away from the restaurant. Please note there are NO restroom facilities at the ride start. All are invited for conversation and lunch afterwards at the "Grill"---they have a very nice veranda (that's "back porch" in plain talk).
Please check this posting ride day morning for any possible weather cancellation.
