Norman Conquest Benefit ride for the JD McCarty's (a center for children with development disabilities) Camp ClapHans was named a top 50 ride in 2012 by Bicycle Magazine. There are multiple ride options including 65, 47, 22, 10 and the family friendly town tour so please don't be intimidated just come out and enjoy it. We are currently on the 22nd year and seemed to be gaining more and more support every year. Last year we able to donate $10,000 dollars to the scholarship program for the camp for kids that normally could not get the opportunity of the services provided in a great facilities like this. As bonus for this ride we have a preregistration at O'Connells Irish Pub on historic campus corner in Norman, Ok. on Friday July 7th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. that includes a pasta dinner, a beer token and new this year a bike giveaway sponsored by Michelob Ultra while quantities last so it would almost be a crime to miss that. This is a well-supported ride (and the longer rides are very challenging) with a great post ride meal so we would love to see everyone make this one of your destination rides every year.
