Rides suitable for cyclists who are new to the sport (or who have not been on a bike for some years), family-friendly rides or any riders that feel a need for some mentoring. Note: please note that minors under the age of 16 cannot participate in rides unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. Families with children should, in any event, confirm with the ride leader ahead of time that the ride will be suitable for their needs.

Intermediate
Targeted towards riders who have a few years in the saddle, who have developed some riding confidence and fitness and feel ready to move to the next level. Could attract more experienced riders who are looking for a relaxed or less aggressive ride.

Advanced
Limited to experienced riders with superior bike handling skills and who are comfortable with a fast pace (probably including single and/or double pace-line riding) and/or hilly terrain, and the possibility of heavily trafficked roads. Advanced rides are less likely to be "no-drop" unless identified as such.

Description

August’s woenn ride will be hosted with Bicycle Sport Shop at the Parmer store. Following the start of the Power Ride, we will offer a clinic for the Intermediate and Beginner riders.

The ride will leave from our Parmer location. https://www.bicyclesportshop.com/storepickup/index/index/viewstore/4/

Please arrive by 7:30 AM

Power Ride wheels down at 8 AM

Clinic begins at 8:05 AM

Intermediate & Beginner wheels down at 8:30 AM

What to bring:
– Bike & Helmet (required)
– Closed toe shoes
– Personal ID
– Sunglasses
– Water bottles
– Nutrition

This event is rain or shine. Please check status above for weather updates. In the case of inclement weather, we will post by 6 AM. If the conditions are wet, we will hold a half-hour indoor clinic for the beginner and intermediate riders inside the shop with mimosas and a flat change lesson to follow. If the 40-mile group is comfortable riding in rain or wet conditions, they may roll the 40-mile route or decide as a group to ride the 25-mile route.
