WHAT IS THE CLEAR FORK BICYCLE CLUB?
The Clear Fork Bicycle Club is an independent not-for-profit organization in Fort Worth, Texas. Our club is named after the Clear Fork of the Trinity River, the area where many of our rides begin. We were founded in 2004 as a bicycle activity under the parent organizations Lockheed-Martin Recreation Association, subsequently Corporate Employees Recreation Association, then became independent in 2016.
Our name and affiliation have changed over the years, but our mission has not.
WHO ARE THE CLEAR FORK BICYCLE CLUB MEMBERS?
People who bicycle or want to bicycle! Our club is a diverse group of cyclists from Cruisers (10-12 mph average) to Pacers (13-16mph) to Swiftys (17+ mph). We have brand-new-to-the-sport smiling cyclists, current and former racers, road cyclists, mountain bikers and all those in between. Our members include young to more experienced men, women and families. We are cyclists who now know other cyclists to ride with, to share experiences with and to learn from. We do organized club rides (breakfast rides, after-work rides, weekend rides) and impromptu rides with other club members. Club participation in local charity organized rides has raised thousands of dollars for area and state charities.
We are cyclists riding with, helping and organizing other cyclists. Come join us.
