At the end of the ride you'll earn the right to say "it's about 1.5 hours later than when I started this ride" and "I feel not as energetic as I did back then" followed by "oh well". Truly a prize to cherish.

A somewhat slow C-pace ride (roughly 11 to 14 mph) on The Southern Walnut Creek Trail from the trailhead at Govalle Park up to the Abrupt End at Lindell Lane just ... morenorth of Decker Lake. Round trip is about 20 miles. The trail is paved for the entire distance, with an intereresting 1/2 mile hill on the outbound. We'll regroup periodically on the outbound and at the Abrupt End. HERE WE GO AGAIN------ Lets enjoy the forecasted warmer & sunny weather by riding along with Mark Perkins as he completes a century ride for the 85th consecutive month!! We'll ... morejoin Mark, to give him support (we would like to think he needs!), as he does another month's century ride!! This is a slight variation of the Blue Goose Century ride Jeff developed; the one ridden in November, 2015. We'll be riding in northeast Travis County & southeast Williamson County---north & south (back & forth--kind of), from Coupland to just south of Manor, on various different quiet country roads. We'll have some "vintage" chip-seal roads---so air up your tires accordingly. There are 4 possible STORE STOPS at 29, 51, 68, & 81 miles. We'll have only 2850 ft. of climbing (per RIDEwithGPS).

Going to try a new starting location (just 2 miles north, of the old starting point, on Harris Branch Pkwy.) for this century ride--see the new route map attached below.

Our motto is "leave no one behind" and our group rides are no-drop.
For your full enjoyment of our weekly rides though, we strongly suggested the following riding ablilties/considerations:

Pace range: 15 to 18 MPH on mostly flat roads. Distance: 20 to 25 miles. Thursday night rides are social rides, followed by dinner and drinks at a local watering hole. This ride is perfect for new riders or those that would like to check out our club. Emphasis is placed on helping new riders learn how to be good group riders. As our group has expanded over the years, expect the ride to start in two or more packs, several minutes apart. This isn't a race, folks, but a way to separate our riders into groups that can be better managed on the road – both for us as cyclists and for drivers.
